In your opinion why did crypto underperform broader markets by such a large degree and what is going to change this next year or in the coming years if anything

@gammichan Being negative on the year when the S&P is up 18% is certainly underperformance. I don’t like the metals correlation think it’s retarded so I’ll go for equity indexes, even if the metals correlation thesis makes the year look even worse

@gammichan Anyways semantics, any case as to why they underperformed the asset class? Or metals? Or are down on the year? That’s all I rlly am asking

The funny thing about this is I didn’t say it was “over forever” or terminally lost or even ascribe a narrative to next year (besides 2 way vol in earlier posts) Simply asked a question acknowledging crypto underperformance for the year and asking why If you want to time the shift back to outperformance for the space should it come, surely understanding the reasoning for how we have been behaving is important. I have my own thoughts on why, some of which helped me sell in September, some still pertinent today. The many many emotional responses show lots of ppl are still rekt, probably to a decently greater degree than immediately post 10/10

If your only way to reason is that a bull market is coming because it has happened in the past or because you need money, you will inevitably get caught in another downturn and blame something external Try thinking more critically and developing skills, especially during slow periods like this
