December 22: @FBI CJIS adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
The FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division is our hub that works with law enforcement all across the country to meet the needs of the public.
For example - a police officer who needs a subject's criminal history, a citizen exercising their Second Amendment right to bear arms, or someone calling to report a federal crime - all of which the CJIS Division oversees or has a direct role in facilitating.
Our CJIS team has transformed the way it works to cut red tape and be more efficient in response time. They’ve adopted Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies to break down organizational silos, better plan work, and pivot resources to deliver improved products in a quicker manner.
This included enhancements to the 1-800-CALL-FBI tip line and the National Instant Criminal Background Check System to help us answer you faster. The FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting Program was able to deliver the annual "Reported Crimes in the Nation" report sooner than usual.
We're answering the public faster, more efficiently, and improving the way we serve you.
