i’ve spent money chasing time. spent it trying to speed things up, slow things down, make moments last, or make them disappear. i’ve spent it out of fear. out of love. out of boredom. i bought things i thought would fix me. make me more interesting. more desirable. more successful. mostly, they just made me more broke. ive paid for late fees, bad habits, quick fixes. ive paid for advice i didn’t take. for food i didn’t finish. for subscriptions i forgot to cancel. but then, i spent money on this.
